Technique: Wipe-lacquer finish on Shogawa-style turned wood
Materials: Horse chestnut wood, lacquer

I thought it would be interesting to add this kind of texture to the simple structure of a conveyor belt sushi plate, so I added some lines as I pleased. Please enjoy the look of traditional hand-turned wood.

After studying under Soichi Shimada, he joined his family business, Tada Woodturning Workshop. He has received awards including the Silver Prize at the Toyama Prefecture Traditional Crafts Exhibition. He is currently the chairman of the Shogawa Woodturning Association.
